In October 2024, Chile’s producer prices rose by 10.6% compared to last year’s. This rate is up from an 8.2% increase in September and marks the highest in three months.
The mining sector saw costs climb by 14.1%, higher than the 10.5% rise in the previous month. Utility costs jumped to 23.4% from 13.7% in September.
In contrast, manufacturing costs grew by 2.3%, slowing from a 3.5% increase the month before. On a monthly basis, producer prices increased by 3.2% in October after a 1.2% rise in September.
